Experiment with a technique known as "mirroring" to achieve the desired outcome on your date. I have found these tricks work time and time again with past romantic partners and now my husband and I benefit from it. "O, the Oprah Magazine" further explains how mirroring works by reporting on a study conducted Nicolas Guéguen, a French professor. The study showed that mirroring your potential romantic partner with body language, instead of words, was twice as effective, because the other person doesn't detect mirroring.
Mirror that special someone you want to notice you using your face, hands and feet. It's important to note, however, that it's a good idea to avoid doing all these movements at once. You will stand out to the other person which renders the exercise null and void.
See the technique by noticing other couples around you. Does one lean in at the same time as the other? That is mirroring in action. The two are in sync with each other which indicates attraction. Note whether or not both people have their legs crossed or open at the same time. This is also mirroring in action. The two don't even realize they're doing it.
Practice mirroring by twirling your hair. Check to see if the person you're interested in does something similar back. They may subconsciously decide to brush their hair back instead of twirling it, but it's in the same general area and this is mirroring in action. Try the reverse method out regarding mirroring. Make sure to lean forward if the person you're interested in leans forward as well.
