I have noticed that all through my life, music is often tied to romance. Romantic songs, or love songs, can put me in the mood for romance just after hearing the song’s introduction. I am a woman, and therefore I’m not sure if men have the same effects; however, I’m sure that they do at least a little.
One of the things my boyfriend and I like to do is dance. I don’t mean going out dancing, necessarily, just dancing at home. We cook together a lot, and while we cook it is not uncommon for us to have music playing. He likes alternative heavy music, but he also likes love songs. Because he is so thoughtful, he rarely plays his loud, obnoxious alternative music while I am in the room. Instead, he puts on soft, love songs. While there is a break in the demands of the meal we are cooking, we stop what we are doing and dance.
This is one of the most romantic things I have ever encountered in my life. It happens while we are doing a daily task that can sometimes become very monotonous and routine. It turns this normal daily habit into a memorable experience. He holds my close, and we dance. He kisses me gently. Without any words, we resume cooking when need be.
I love music, and always have. If you and your spouse cook together, try doing this. It is extremely romantic and is simply a great way to remind each other how much you are in love.
