I have found that even when I'm the most stressed by outside events, sitting down with my honey to watch a cheesy comedy helps cheer me up time and again. This is why I'm suggesting this date night idea during the holiday season because, even those without kids, have plenty of activities to cross of their to do list. I think you'll find that if you take a night to snuggle up with your significant other on the couch to watch a romantic Christmas movie you'll finish the film feeling refreshed and ready for romance.
Several Christmas movies are playing on the television this year including those on ABC Family, Hallmark and Lifetime to name a few. Catch one of the original movies on Hallmark such as “Christmas Magic” or “Christmas Comes To Cannan.” Lifetime television is releasing several Christmas films including “Christmas Angel,” “Undercover Christmas” and “A Christmas Wedding.” ABC Family has many films available during the network's countdown of the 25 days of Christmas. Kids and adult movies play on different days until December 26th.
Another option to your cheesy Christmas movie date night involves renting your favorite holiday tale from places such as Netflix, Redbox or your local video store. At these movie rental locations you can pick from selections including “It's a Wonderful Life,” “National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation” and the "Polar Express.” My favorite on this list has got to be, hands down, the “National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.” I laugh over and over, every time I watch it and the film succeeds at relaxing as I switch gears from fall to the holiday season.
