Wine Tasting How To
Grab your sweetie, sit him or her down and tell them your idea of having a wine tasting night. Explain that, with Fall well underway, it's too cold to go out anywhere and you want to spend and evening at home. I know that experiencing a wine tasting even together can bring you closer. You discover more about each other and, with the combination of togetherness and wine, you'll likely enjoy even more romance once you hit the sack after indulging in a bit of decadence.
- Factor in cost before you head out to shop for the wines for your tasting event. You can find plenty of great tasting bottles of bubbly for under $10, sometimes as low as $5.
- Look for small wine bottles because after 12 hours, the wine can start to change in taste.
- Decide on your theme to help narrow down the choices on which wine to purchase. Purchase three or more bottles of fruit wine if the two of you enjoy fruit. Select a couple different red wines if the two of you like merlot. Add a few snacks such as pretzels and cheese cubes to give you and your sweetie something to munch on while you taste test the vino.
- Chill the wine in the freezer if you decided to enjoy a wine tasting even with your honey on the spur of the moment.
- Line up the wine on the counter or dining room table. You don't need to put as much thought into this as you would have to with a formal wine tasting event. This is just the two of you and the main focus is to enjoy each other and let the wine enhance your evening.
- Pour a small amount of the wine from the first bottle into two glasses. Share a toast, sip and rate how much each of you liked how the wine tasted.
- Repeat until you have tried all the bottles. Enjoy the rest of your evening together while finishing off the wine you liked the best.
