One of my favorite dates is attending a concert with my husband. We don't have a ton of money to spend on costly tickets so I've learned several ways to see concerts for free or next to nothing because I don't want to give up one of my special ways to spend a date night. This date can work in a large or small town, depending on the musical scene and what you and your significant other enjoy listening to.
Those of you who live near a theme park or concert venues such as the House of Blues can attend shows for cheaper than at a large, well-known concert hall. My husband and I have an annual pass to Universal Studios which covers the cost of any concerts they put on. The only thing you have to pay for is food or drinks if this is method is an option for you and your honey. The House of Blues has locations near theme parks and in other cities throughout the country. This particular venue often offers good deals on awesome bands, sometimes those with big names attached to them such as Foo Fighters. For example, the House of Blues in Orlando has a listing for the band “Flogging Molly,” which has a showing on February 29th that runs between $32 and $45, according to the website livenation.com. The nearby Amway Arena in downtown Orlando, Florida will host the famous rock band, "Nickelback" in May. Ticket prices start at $44.00, which is more expensive than the tickets to "Flogging Molly" and other bands showing at the House of Blues. Your neighborhood bar and grill is another option to consider when you're looking for a good live music show. Some of the places have a live music night or an open mic night where you can see a performance for the price of a drink or two. Even my small town has one of these gems down the road from where my husband and I live.
Does where you live have a town square? If so, you might be missing out on the chance to see a good live show. The city to the north of where my honey and I live and the one to the south both offer live bands either nightly or on the weekend when the weather is nice. The choices range from rock and roll to Christian bands to country. Hop online and pursue the mucial scene in your area to see an awesome live musical show for next to nothing.
